The Cathedral of the city is a Roman Catholic Church built initially in the 12th century and remodeled in the 13th century in Romanesque/Baroque style by the architect Niccolò Nasoni, becoming the oldest and most important Romanesque monument in the country.
The palace is a 19th-century neoclassical building. UNESCO classified it as a World Natural Heritage Site.
