You will see Lisbon from the river:
The heart of the city was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake.
The birthplace of ‘Fado’ (Traditional song of Lisbon, classified as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO).
One of the most emblematic monuments of Lisbon and the home of royalty for centuries. This military fort was built by the Moors in the 11th century and conquered by the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques, on October 25th of 1147.
The launching point for the Portuguese discoveries, with significant historic monuments in a beautiful open riverside setting. Here you can see the Belém Tower, the Discoveries Monument, and the Jerónimos Monastery.
1966 and originally named after dictator Salazar, this suspension bridge across the Tagus River changed its name after the revolution of April 25, 1974. It’s a spectacular sight from any direction, with an overall length of 2278m (approx. 1.5 miles), and the longest central span in Europe (1013m/3323ft), longer than San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, which in some aspects is very similar.
At 110 meters (or 360 feet and 11 inches), the statue itself is 28 meters tall (or 91 feet and 10 inches). The Christ with open arms is facing Lisbon. The arches that support the statue are facing each of the four cardinal directions
MAAT deals with contemporary art, while the next-door Power Station is one of Portugal’s most prominent examples of industrial architecture from the beginning of the 20th century.
Fado was recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in November 2011. Fado music is sung in Lisbon, and it’s a symbol of local identity that began in the early nineteenth century. Fado is performed by a solo male or female singer, accompanied by an acoustic guitar and the Portuguese guitar, a pear-shaped, twelve-stringed lute. On your boat tour, you can have a fado singer on board to listen to Fado while sailing with us.
Do a half-day tour of Lisbon city center before sailing with us.
We have the option of a full-day sailing tour that will provide you with more time to enjoy the sun and the nearby beaches. On a full day, you can visit some of the most beautiful beaches on our coast and explore nature with a SUP board.
